AUVO Renewed My Career at 60
Now, as I turn 60 and after 15 years as an entrepreneur, my workdays are still incredibly long – both mentally and physically demanding. I provide care for people with disabilities, home services for war veterans and private clients, as well as massage therapy. Yet, my predominant feeling is immense gratitude for the wonderful work I do and my dear clients.
Looking ahead to my future working years and considering the high average age of my clients, I found myself yearning for something new and meaningful to complement my existing work after over thirty years as a massage therapist. That's how I discovered Auvo.
The Auvo Practitioner Training Was Just as Good as I Expected
The online training provided a solid foundation for self-study. The Auvo course material was extensive and clear. I could progress at my own pace, revisit topics as needed, and return to previously studied sections. It was easy to learn the treatment step by step in a calm manner, and to get acquainted with the beautiful music that complements the entire package. My friends, who served as practice clients, were pleased and immediately enthusiastic about this new form of treatment.
The in-person training was warm and welcoming, and during the training, I gained further confidence that I had found a new treatment modality for my clients. A big thank you goes to Anna (Jalava), who gently guided us through the nuances of touch therapy. Anna's practical instruction provided additional assurance, especially regarding the pressure and rhythm of the techniques.
The comprehensive theoretical content of the practitioner training offered a wealth of new information, particularly about offering Auvo treatments as a commercial service, even though my 35 years as a massage therapist have already given me extensive experience in customer service and the unique atmosphere of treatment sessions.
The Most Surprising Feedback Has Come from Men
Over the winter, my loved ones and clients have received numerous Auvo practice treatments. The feedback has been entirely positive. They have relaxed, calmed down, and been impressed by the various sensations experienced during and after the treatment. Clients have included working-age women and men, as well as elderly individuals.
In the practice treatments, I've paid special attention to the lightness of touch for clients suffering from osteoarthritis in their fingers and toes to ensure the treatment doesn't cause pain. Currently, I feel confident in performing the treatment with gentle, assured hands, utilizing the rhythm provided by the music. Each treatment session is unique for both the client and myself.
The most surprising feedback has come from men, who have given glowing reviews of the treatment, especially the head area work, which has been particularly memorable. Many have mentioned experiencing various colors, a state between wakefulness and sleep, a sense of warmth in the body, and peaceful sleep at night.
I Feel That I Also Heal Myself During Auvo Sessions
I keep my treatment space cozy, using soft lighting, candles, and covering the client with a soft blanket. Even while preparing the client for the session, my own mind begins to calm. When the first notes of the music play, I am already at peace and perhaps enter my own "treatment state," where my thoughts focus on the movements and touch. The rhythm of the music brings a gentle cadence to the touch, which surely reflects onto the client as well. After the treatment, I feel grateful, and it's wonderful to notice the client's contented sigh at the end of the session. It's a joy to offer the client a small, calming moment amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I'm happy to have found you and this wonderful new tool. Going forward, I plan to market Auvo treatments both as standalone sessions and as part of the treatment packages I offer. Treatments can be conducted either in my space or at the client's home. I also hope to find corporate clients interested in utilizing relaxation treatments to support their employees' well-being.
